LOVE is the only word to describe this

Thank you for your support of Concur’s Volunteer Rebuild with Rebuilding Together Seattle! Your contributions were used to cover related program costs for the day of the build, including project materials, tools, and logistics. Your generosity ensures someone like Ruth finally has a safe and healthy home again.

Bio: Ruth is a Texas native that moved to Seattle with her husband, Vernon, a musician who also served in the military. Together, they raised two daughters and a son who all inherited Vernon’s musical gene. Their house was often full of music as the kids grew up, something Ruth misses. Although she has lost her husband and her son, Ruth still charms everyone she meets with her kind spirit and warm heart. She has had a hard time keeping up with her home since Vernon passed, and after a bad basement leak and botched kitchen remodel, Ruth needed help.

The RTS Impact: Roughly 60 volunteers helped to give Ruth a fresh start on her old home. They fixed and cleaned her leaky basement, completely rebuilt her kitchen, built her a new garden, and helped her sort her belongings that had been cluttering her home and weighing down her spirit. When asked what this day meant to her Ruth said “LOVE is the only word I have to describe all of this.”

Thank you again for your generous support. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for images from the Concur build!
