A true gift for a Lynnwood couple

Thank you for your support of Concur’s Volunteer Rebuild with Rebuilding Together Seattle! Your contributions will be used to cover related program costs for the day of the build, including project materials, tools, and logistics. Your generosity ensures a family like Bruce and Patricia’s finally has a safe and healthy home again.

Bio: Bruce and Patricia have lived in their Lynnwood home for nearly 30 years. They enjoy spending time there, where Bruce has his own workshop and Patricia has a great quilting room. They also like to barbeque with family on their back porch and picking fruit from their small orchard. As they have gotten older, their home has aged as well. Bruce has a hard time getting around their split level home and they desperately needed new windows and doors. Bruce has done all the work around their home for as long as they have lived there, so asking for help was very difficult.

The Rebuilding Together Seattle Impact: On Spring Rebuilding Day 2014, about 30 volunteers went above and beyond to give The Birds a home they could live in for another 30 years. They gave them all new appliances, a new barbeque, and a new patio set, built a security fence, replaced all of their windows, installed new front and back porch doors, painted the outside of the home, and installed a chair lift that would take Bruce up and down the stairs in their home. The Birds are over the moon about everything that has been done to make their home work for them again!

Thank you again for your generous support. Keep an eye out for stories next week from the Concur build!
